I wish I could tell the 16-year old me to stop planning for her life 10 years ahead. None of it would happen, yet she will be happy with the person she became after all the experience life threw at her. Some were super nice and some were plain nasty - but they build her strength. She is now a strong, independent and brave woman who is no longer afraid to chase her dreams. The 16-year old me thought that I’d be flying to USA at 23, rent a studio apartment near SoHo, and she’s be having the perfect job as a psychologist. I had to de route from my initial plan for various reasons - I was heart broken initially and believed that my dream was shattered. I lived in that bubble for 7 years and last year, miracle happened. I realized what I’ve become and knew that without these experiences, I would have been the same whining person. I had to let go of my dreams years ago so that I could pursue them again, when I am in the right place and state of mind. It’s okay if you think you are NOT where you WANT to be. You are exactly at the place where you NEED to be for personal development before you are ready to take the path to chase your dreams.
